Parent Forum and Fellowship Group
The Parent Forum and Fellowship Group is a series of evening presentations for our parents in which various topics of interest are discussed.
The goal of the Parent Forum and Fellowship Group is to provide information and education for parents in order to promote positive social,
emotional, and academic growth in their children.
There are four sessions scheduled for this school year. Topics planned include:
Using Your Values to Raise your Child. Parents´ expectations and fears in raising children in a diverse society will be discussed.
Parents will have the opportunity to share their concerns and experiences.
How and When Should I Help My child With School Work? Professionals in the field of education will share their knowledge of children’s development
and how it relates to our expectations for school success. Developmental benchmarks will be discussed, as well as tips on helping children with homework, school projects, etc.
Social and Emotional Interactions. Bullying and cliques are problems for our children at all ages, and this session will focus on identifying these issues and ways for parents
to help their children cope with them.
Issues in American Culture: Internet Safety. Children of all ages have access to the internet, and there are many dangers associated with it. Information for parents on
how to keep your children safe while online will be discussed by our presenters.
All sessions are free of charge and begin at 7pm in the Lower School Meeting Square. Please check the Monthly Events for the session dates.
