Capital Campaign The Power of Giving
The current goal of the Capital Campaign is to raise funds for equipment and furnishings for the library and newly constructed Commons Building. Shelving, tables, books and other resources are needed for the library; while bleachers, folding chairs, and gym equipment are needed for the gymnasium.

Commons Building Floor Plan Donations of money, time, or gifts-in-kind are needed and graciously accepted. Please consider making a contribution. No amount is too small! With your help, we can accomplish our goals!

Raising Funds, Having Fun
The Development Committee’s goals are two-fold: to raise money for the school’s capital campaign, and to have fun while doing it! Their vision has succeeded. The Commons building and library were completed with over $200,000 raised through the Capital Campaign!

As we look to outfit the Commons with much needed bleachers, seating and a stage, and to fill the library shelves with great books, many fund raising activities are planned. This year’s focus will be on various sales that may interest parents. Gift wrap, Kidstuff coupon books, SCRIP gift cards and monthly frozen pizza and pazotti are some items that will be sold this year.

In addition, a fundraiser is planned for December 5. This “Holiday Marketplace” will feature various vendors who will be selling many lovely gift items, such as jewelry, toys, beauty products, and delectable foods. There will also be a silent auction and a Kids’ Korner where children may shop for the holidays. Also, the annual Family Fun Fair will be held in May. This favorite event will have the rides, games, food, fun and fellowship we have all come to expect.

Benches & Pavers
In addition to our many successful events and the 2009-2010 Annual Giving Campaign, our Capital Campaign receives funding through the sale of Meeting Square benches and outdoor bricks that line our walkways. If you would like to purchase a bench or brick paver in honor or memory of a loved one or friend, please contact the Business Office at 609-267-8198, ext. 103. If you would like information on joining the Development Committee, please contact Maureen VanArtsdalen, clerk of the committee, at ext. 101, or development@friendsacademy.net.
